Volunteers are
essential to the effective daily running of the Mission.
We sincerely appreciate those who give their time and talents
to minister as volunteers.
Those who have
done so have found that it can be a very worthwhile experience.
Our volunteers add a special warmth and friendship to the clientele
here by the
sharing and caring that they provide along with the work that
they do.
There are several ways in which people can volunteer at the Mission.
Foremost of these is food preparation and serving the meals.
Our kitchen staff is small so all help in this area is greatly
appreciated.
Also, there is food to be brought up from the basement and shelves
to be stacked
to enable us to make the food baskets that are given away on a
daily basis.
There is help needed in the Client Service area which would consist
of
going through donations such as clothing and hygiene articles.
There are times when we receive a large amount of these items
so help here is needed also.
Volunteering here can be a very meaningful experience for any
and all
who would like to share what they have with others who are less
fortunate.
No matter where your talents lie,
there will always be a need for your services here at the Mission.
